If you played the Nintendo Entertainment System as a child, then chances are you know the Konami cheat code.  It has become, if you wish, a holy grail of original cheat codes.  It has been used in the entire Konami series, even non-Konami games added the code in later productions on the SNES or N64.  This code is often used in displays at gaming conventions and on clothing, hats, and other apparel.

The famous code is: Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A, Start

but it seems that only Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start was required or it changed.  It seems to be with the doubles of each move in the sequence it would be odd not to have the B/A twice but no matter the shortened code now works.  You can enter B then A as many times as you like after you enter the first B, A.  Is it a change or a large percent of the people was unaware it wasn’t required twice?  How do you remember the code?
